To Fur Coat or Not to Fur Coat?
I have recently been doing a lot of thrifting (I think it's the approaching holiday gift giving jitters) and every time I go I am captured by the vast array of (mostly faux) fur coats. It always surprises me how many there are in a single shop; at my hometown's senior thrift I counted upwards of ten jackets, TEN! With each coat I see, and most likely try on, the more I want one; however, I have never really fancied myself as a fur coat wearer. I just feel it wouldn't suit my style and I'd look a fool sporting around a huge fur coat while wearing my 'Clark's Desert Boots.' I have seen a few people around Bellingham wearing fur coats, and I'm not trying to dis on them, I actually applaud them for being able to pull off such an uncommon form of Bellingham outerwear (we mostly stick to Marmont windbreakers and Patagonia downs). So I hereby re-ask the question: fur coat or not? Is it worth it? Will it sit in my closet isolated from the outer world? Or will I be condemned a bad vegetarian and get splatted in red paint? Hmmmm..

I LOVE BROWN BANANAS: Vegan Banana-Nut Muffins

This morning I woke up to three beautiful brown spotted bananas and decided to make muffins. To my dismay I soon realized I didn't have any eggs; however, with a little improvisation I found a recipe for vegan muffins and went off of it (http://www.karenscookiescakesnmore.com/2009/08/vegan-banana-walnut-muffins.html). The muffins are sugar free, vegan, bundles of banana-y goodness. Give it a trrrrrrrry.

My first hat: EVERRR

After much frustration and many do-overs, this weekend I finally taught myself how to crochet. My first project was, TA DA, this hat. It's not perfect, but hey, I'm a beginner.

Now I am currently working on a hat with a thicker cream yarn. Photos to come.
